From Yard Entertainment, LLC develops and produces film and television for the Caribbean diaspora. The company is credited on screen as FROM YARD Productions.
How we got here
The company was formed to bring an authentic and realistic account of immigration to the screen. Its first title, From Yard, is adapted from Yardie, the autobiographical novel by David G. Heron, and follows his life from childhood in Jamaica to young adulthood in New York City.
The one-hour pilot had its red carpet premiere at Kingston’s Palace Cineplex in 2023, screened at festivals in Toronto and Atlanta, won Best Short Drama at the 2024 Shoot Your Shot Film Festival, and was acquired by Tubi in August 2025.
